• Sound Measurement: The app turns your phone into a sound level meter and uses industry-leading technology to determine venue from GPS
• Search, Sort, and Share: Our slick user interface allows you easy access to all of your  measurements as well as those from your friends.
• Determine Safety:  The app displays the Recommended Exposure Limit (REL) duration for the sounds in your environment by implementing a calculation developed by National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).

A nice summary of our app

New study shows apps can be more effective than hearing aids

We were excited to read that in the latest issue of Hearing Review, Dr. Amyn Amlani's research group at the University of North Texas evaluated how people with hearing loss use hearing apps. None of the authors have any affiliation with Ear Machine. The study shows that, for many aspects of listening, our smartphone app leads to greater satisfaction than a hearing aid. Here is a quote:

Participant responses indicated significantly greater satisfaction in noise with the smartphone applications compared to the hearing aids
